The glove box lid on my 1999 Trition Premier 18 is/was the the Burl Wood looking plastic lid. Problem is after the years it has faded very bad and has gotten rough. Anyone know where you can get a replacement or even some Burl Wood looking contact paper?

You will have to go back to Triton for a replacement. That is one of those manufacture only parts........

Thanks for the input Mike, but it took me 3+ months and lots of emails, phone calls just to get the plate to cover the hole where I took out old depth finder from Triton through a dealer. I will paint the thing before I go through that again.

Man, just clean it up and put your own mark on it. It doesn't have to be just like the one on the next block. Make it yours.

I have a 1988 Champion, and it has flush mount, pull up cleats and no grab rails on the gunwale. You would never guess it was almost 20 years old.

I found a product called FXSheeting made by Alsa Corp that I ordered and going to try. It is a laminate sheeting that has an adhesive backing similar to contact paper. Covered with a thin lexan sheet for durability. Recommended for things such as counter tops so it is fairly durable, also supposed to be ok for outdoor use. I ordered a Burl Wood design but they have all types even a brushed aluminum. Will let you know if it works out, figure there are others with a similar problem.

With the condition my glove box is in now, it can't hurt. Just hope it isn't like some contact wall paper I did once. It would leap at the wall crosswise from about 6' once the backing was off and adhesive exposed.
