Was out solo for a few hours yesterday and as it been the last couple of weeks it was pretty tough, still managed to catch a desent bag 24 to 25 lbs but the #s were way down.Biggest weighed 7.2 but just didnt get many bites. The lake is still coming up and looks great but as much as I hate to say it falcon on the rise is just plain rough at least for me, as soon as it stabalizes and even falls a little it should get back to normal. All but one fish came flippin wtr melon red(what else)beavers on a 7/16 oz weight in 15 to 20 ft trees in the main lake. One 5.6lb,came on a tx rigged senko casting to a point. Anyone wanting to book a trip can call me and Ill let you know how the fishing is or if your coming down on your own call and Ill be more than happy to let you know whats up.Good luck and set the hook HARD!!!! Thanks for the report Jimmy. Not many lakes in Texas would you consider a 25lb bag with a 7.2 kicker a tough day.
Last I heard the lake was 18ft low. Has it come up more since Dean came through Mexico?

Yeah I know I kinda feel stupid saying that was a tough day, I can remember when 20#s was sure enough a check but the fishing on falcon has just been unreal the last few years and I guess the people that get to fish it regularly are kinda spoiled,50 to 70 fish a day with some big ones mixed in were the norm.Last I heard we were around 17 ft low and to me, but nothing official,it looks like its still coming up.

I am sitting in front of Falcon Lake tackle right now stealing internet off their router.. I fished Sat and Sun.. I concour that the fish are still in a slow bite mode.. We fished a lot of new to me water and found fish most everywhere.. But not a lot of em.. We might have had 17-18 lbs best 5 both days.. Lake right at 17 feet low..Still on a slow rise.. I know it will get better when it stabilizes..But it looks awesome! WM red still the best bait.. Also Plum in Ol Monster Zoom.. First Cold front will bring some changes..

See you on the water.. James

What a diffrence a day makes.I took some guys out from the north bc region and on sat. it seemed as tough as its been,15to 18 fish and maybe 15 to 16 lbs.Sunday seemed like a switch was turned on 30 to 40 fish,33 to 34 lbs. Dont know if they just bit sun. or things are starting back, I sure hope its the latter. Our #s came on blades but the bigger fish were still deep 15 to 20 ft.in the trees. Water melon red beavers and 3/8 wht/char spinnerbaits. Good luck. Jimmy Steed 956 286 4091

James,
Thank you for letting me know, I guess your email through TFF is not working. I have been away for sometime. Looking forward to going to Falcon this coming weekend.
Richard
