How is the water around the pier? Anyone catching any fish under the lights?

Not much there I don't think. Do you know much about that area? I usually fished the end of the road then walked to the point. Done well with redfish. Really would like to get into trout there though. Bankfisherman needs advice...thanks!

i actually fished the pier couple weeks ago my grandparents have a house down there so i fish around anahuac and trinity bay alot but the pier was no good just sum decent sized gars and channel cats but the place flounderfarve is talking about is good how far do u walk farve? cuz i caught flounder on the left side all the way 2 the end and if u wade all the way at the end bout a 1/4 mile out in2 the water there is a drop off which holds specks my friend caught bout 9 specks n 1 of them was a 24in. i was gonna go try it at 10 at nite but 2 dark n was scared of gators lol

can someone send me a pm and let me know where exactly yall are talking about..i take it fort anahuac but have only been down there once and skunked even though there was enough bait in water to feed the whole bay system..most likely why didnt catch anything...now i have a buddy who's dad limits on reds every trip..I JUST WANT TO CATCH SOME FISH they dont even have to be keeper size just catch fish while wading is all i want..

hey there well if u go 2 anahuac park just follow the road all the way down 2 the pier then theres a road on the right side that takes u all the way down 2 a dead end then u get out then walk straight then if u get in the water bout 1/4 mile out there should b a dropoff where u can catch sum nice trouts n reds

man i have done that like 10 times and never caught a fish out there...i just need some help or something

lol my set up is just a the basic rig a 3/4 ounce weight n a size 3 owner hook about 1ft apart n live shrimp n i go in the afternoon about 4 till sundown

well that might be my problem i always throw lures never throw shrimp out there for some reason...

i usually use a bass assassin chartreuse on a 1/4ounce jighead with a red eye always work for me i usually catch flounders specks n the occassional red with is but u gotta go all the way down 2 the end of the rocks n fish on the left side for flounders
