I finally got to fish my brush piles last Sat AM now that some of our LL ramps are open. They were covered up with fish, but I couldn't buy a bite. Was using a red head/wht body Road Runner. Anyone else having good or bad luck on crappie in LL?? My brush piles are now in 18 feet of H2O and the water is clear. Also, anyone fishing at night with lights??

As always thanks for the help:)

Where did you put in RD. I went out last week out of Hickory, just checked the boat out after having some work done. Got into alot of sandies. Next time I'm going to do some scouting.

I did very well at LL Barge at 14' with quality fish nearly about 3 weeks ago when the lake was like 18' high.

However, in the past week or two, the lake has dropped over 10' and I think that hurt the thermocline, mixed the water up, and screwed up the fishing as well.

Give it another 2-4 weeks of the lake level settling and it should improve, along with lessening heat.

Doctor the jig up with a nibble and see if that helps

I use nibbles and "juice" just about everytime, still doesn't matter, at least for LL Barge right now. It'll get better latter half of September and on. Good luck to you folks.

Thanks and good luck.
