I am looking for a jigging rig to use in 30-60 feet of water in the gulf. I'm gunna be targeting snapper and grouper but I will need the ability to handle kingfish. I had a penn number 9 that I used for light jigging but it broke down and instead of fixing it up right now, I would like to find a reel with good castability and a pretty good line retreive ratio.

Also I would like opinions on what rod length and weight i should get.

Fish till your arms fall off; then crank the reel with your mouth.

There he stands, draped in more equipment than a telephone lineman, trying to outwit an organism with a brain no bigger than a breadcrumb, and getting licked in the process. ~Paul O'Neil, 1965
