I've had cats almost all my life. Have never bought one.

But our most recent stray cost over $700 in vet bills . . . So they ain't free.

This is my “kids” cat. It’s at least 14 years old. Siamese cats are some mean mean critters. This thing will draw blood! I barely get a long with this spoiled thing. It’s name was Marshmellow, that slowly turned into “Mellow Mallow”, that quickly turned into simply “Mallow”….then, after she got too fat to fly, we simply call her “chonky”. Chonk for short.

She is like the alpha dog in that dog video. She can go outside and the stray cats bow down or simply haul [censored].

Question for cat owners.

You are okay for your cat to scratch, bite, draw blood from you or someone? Jumping all over your counters and furniture not to mention clawing up everything. Oh, and having a stinking litter box in your house, cat hairs everywhere and let's not forget upchucking all that nice hair.

Nope I do not like the critters.

Our cat disappears all day on the prowl.
Only see him at dawn and dusk when he’s drinking water.

He’s too busy stalking birds and other critters to interact with humans.

His robot litter box cleans itself and wife empties it twice a week.

He has a cat box on top of a post he likes to climb on top of for the best view of his next potential victim.

Never seen him scratch furniture or a human being.

Extremely low maintenance

and for those of you who have cats and don't see them all day because they are "out hunting"...you are correct...if hunting means leaving prints on my car, truck, and boat cover, spraying the tires on said vehicles, and using my wifes flower beds as a litter box, then yea they are "hunting". If you love those animals, you should be thankful and grateful they make it back to your home and grace your presence at the end of the day...

Yes.
Driving home from York Beach DW had me stop at kids roadside kittens-for-sale stand. Think they were asking like 50c a kitten. For a couple of bucks DW got us a kinda mosty black with a few orange stripes Main Coon Cat with extra toes on each foot. DW named him Coonie. Lived with us (forget) 14-15 years. Great cat but long hair an aggravation at shedding times.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

Purchased? No way, plenty of strays.

Our cat never gets on the countertops and never barfs up hairballs.
