Yep and I an ready for them to stop doing it in North Texas. Border wall is missing 3 sides!!!

I live in the country as well and love listening to them at night.
See them pretty regular of a morning as they cross my pasture headed back to the creek bottom area after coming from town.
They don’t bother me, I don’t bother them.

cannot keep enough dog food out for them

We back up to a golf course that is land locked and have had them walk up to our fence. My dogs will bark and growl differently when they see them. My mother does the same thing. Takes food to be thrown away or scraps and feeds the coyotes out by her retirement home.

This behavior is actually hurting them more than helping them and is one of the reasons they are sticking around and hurting humans and eating pets. You're hurting a species of wild animal to soothe your own emotions so you can feel good about yourself. I am a HUGE domesticated dog lover, but coyotes are not dogs.
