Graduations have gotten out of hand. Making a big deal of a 6 year old getting out of Pre K and going to 1st grade is a joke. Same with others. And then you have the Redneck parents that bring 28 balloons and 3 dozen roses for the 6 year old . Then they go out to eat at waffle house and back to there 2 bedroom trailer. My oldest went to a pretty nice pre school. That little graduation was one of my fondest memories. They all got up on stage and danced to the song happy by Pharrell. I don't recall a single balloon or roses tho.

You lost me at 5th grade graduation. I begrudgingly went to my kids 5th grade graduation- some parents acted like their kids cured cancer with all the work they put in.

Never understood all this graduation nonsense to begin with. Graduate Kindergarten, graduate 5th grade, graduate Elementary or Middle school... rubbish. You graduate High School and College period. So in my simple mind if they didn't do all this participation graduation B.S. this guy coulda/woulda stabbed somebody else at a different location and saved the kids a lot of emotional trauma. ^^^this right here^^^

One of my grand kids had participated in more graduation by 6th grade than I had when I graduated college. Two graduations, high school and college, is enough. Everything else is nothing but participation trophies.

Went by an elementary school on Thursday about 10:30. My Gawd. Several hundred vehicles blocking the street, every one of them decorated like it was a parade. Never seen such a spectacle. Hazardous too. Not a cop in sight of course. The ISD had to get them in there for a couple hours to collect that Federal dough. Ridiculous.
I can imagine what my old man would've said, had I asked him to pick me up and take me to school every day.

I wonder what area, N,S, E, W would not suprise me now over there. It's circling the drain I'm betting the Rosedale area. Don't rule out Como
