The only thing that really stands out to me, is the handmade cards that you get from your children when they are little.

For my 18th, I got a new 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 quadcab. Had 3 miles on it when I drove off the lot. It was also for graduation.

We never really celebrated birthdays when I was a kid, but I do have one birthday the rises above the rest.

We made a trip to Vegas around my birthday with 10 of our friends. Several of us were couples and a few singles. We partied like it was our last night on earth. Gambling, booze, dancing, pool side cabanas, etc. It was amazing! I went with $2500 in spending money came back with that same $2500 + $1800.

I guess it would be a watch I got from mom.. was in college, headed to eat at dorm and t boned a car that turned right from a middle lane at intersection.. I flew off my motorcycle, went sliding down the road and when I stopped, I pulled up sleeve to see if my watch was still ticking..

A 6 day cruise with the wife, grand time with VIP upgrades, apparently included an ocean swim as she tried to help me over the balcony a couple times. 😂

My parents gave my brothers and I Oklahoma Lifetime Combination Hunting/Fishing licenses in the early 70's, before the price went up. I think they were $150 back then, and they have obviously paid out many times. Great gift

Probably was, back in the 70s .. dont remember.. get hauled off to emergency room by ambulance.. luckily week before christmas and I am wearing several layers.. get released later than evening.. limping around in my apartment and about to light the stove to cook something and I hear on tv news about college kid having motorcycle accident in rush hour traffic... I had match lit and gas on stove turned on as I try to lean around to watch... had match too far away, and allow gas to keep going.. it finally lit with an explosion that caught my hair on fire.. all I could think was if I didnt get it put out fast, I would be on the news the next morning as well.. memorable birthday gift.
