I bet whatever trail it is, their entry #'s will go up. Just a hunch.

People have found out that FFS makes it where they have no chance or very little and that will not pass to the guy without it .Their not stupid you no! They will stop not only fishing tournaments but fishing for bass altogether and then the Boat a lure people will lose. The only guys who want FFS are the ones who have unlimited $ as it is driving all others out of the game. Many are the high school and college with ma and pa paying for it and it is a game to them. They love it until they can't have it and they will leave if they can't have it. So sad that we are going thru this but it comes down to the haves and the have nots and it is destroying the thing we have loved for so long.

If they ban it, maybe I’ll stop catching catfish, hybrids, and crappie and start catching keepers again.

I don't see the non FFS tournaments drawing more, to me its about the same.....at least in my area. Are we over thinking it? Maybe emotions getting in the way? I don't think FFS is the reason people are not fishing tournaments. I think if incomes go up and/or prices go down overall on everything maybe you'll start to see increases in participation.

Things have gotten so expensive, I use to not even blink about fishing expenses, I now need to plan more. I cannot fish everything I want to. I just recently talked to my wife about finding some income to help out. I just don't blame FFS as the reasons for tournament numbers falling, Maybe its #3 on the list. For many decades it was this or that why numbers were down. "Allowing guides", "Allowing Pros", "Front ending", "No limits of pre fishing", "Locals", "No Info". Heck do we remember the disdain for people running 250s, so we created a league for 150 hp or less that failed. I mean we can go on, today its "FFS". surely people can see the pattern here.

I'll ask a stupid question, where are they giant piles of kids that fished high-school stuff over the last decade. Some of these kids are hitting their late 20s, some had money to begin with. Did 99 percent of them vanish. If 10 percent of them stuck around there should be no tournament turnout issues. I though the whole grow the sport was a thing.
