caffeine, even sleeping pills at one point (which I hated). Some nights I lie awake for hours, tossing and turning, and when I finally fall asleep, I wake up feeling more exhausted than I did before. It’s like I’m stuck in this endless loop where I’m too tired to function, but my body just refuses to let me rest properly.
I started hearing about something recently called "structured water," and I’ve read a few articles here and there, but it seems pretty out there to me. So I’m coming to you guys, hoping someone here might know more about it. Could structured water be the missing link in solving my sleep issues?
I’ll admit, at first I was skeptical. How could something as simple as water have such a profound effect on something as complex as sleep, right? But from what I’ve gathered, structured water is supposed to be a more organized form of water that supposedly helps your body absorb it more effectively. Some say it helps with hydration, which I get — hydration is key for everything, right? But some people are claiming it can actually improve sleep quality too.
I’d really appreciate it if anyone here could share their experience or knowledge about this topic. Is it worth trying? Is there a difference between just drinking more water and drinking “structured” water? And what’s the science behind it — if there is any?

Do you exercise? That can make a big impact on sleep. Benadryl is also an effective sleep aid, but makes me groggy in the AM.

I used Benadryl for years, aka Diphenhydramine. It’s in most OTC sleep aides like zquil, yada yada. My doc advised me to stop it, I did. I now take melatonin, which never did it for me before but seems to help now as most of my stress is gone.

I forgot about melatonin. That's probably the best suggestion.

I think Sam-e and Ashwagandha help if anxiety is an issue.

Magnesium Glycinate supplement is supposed to help with sleep according to my doc. I take it and it does seem to help best I can tell but I did not have major insomnia.

I travel,
Sometimes it's hard to wind down after a ten hour run, especially when you know you have to be sharp first thing the next morning.

Anything you take will work, then it won't work. So you have to rotate whatever it is, Valerian root, then melatonin, then dramamine, but never the same thing two nights in a row.

Get one of the background sound apps for your phone, rain, brown noise, etc. That will help your brain go quiet.

Then practice the military sleep method, this puts it all together.

<<Breathe deeply: Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Take slow, deep breaths.
Relax your face: Slowly relax all the muscles in your face, starting from your forehead and then moving downward over your cheeks, mouth, and jaw. Focus on one part at a time, breathing deeply and letting go of any muscle tension you’re holding there. Don’t forget to relax your tongue and the muscles around your eyes.
Drop your shoulders and arms: Once your face is relaxed, work your way down to your neck, shoulders, and arms. Relax your neck and let go of any tension accumulated there. Drop your shoulders down and let yourself sink into the bed. Focus your attention on one arm and slowly work your way downward, relaxing your bicep, forearm, hand, and fingers. Do the same for your other arm.
Work your way downward: Once you’ve relaxed your shoulders and arms, slowly shift your focus to other parts of your body, relaxing them one at a time. Work your way down your chest, abdomen, and pelvis. Then focus on one leg, relaxing your thigh, knee, calf, ankle, foot, and toes. Do the same with your other leg.
Clear your mind: Once you’ve consciously relaxed every part of your body, from top to toes, focus on clearing your mind. You can do this by focusing on a calming image. For instance, picture yourself lying in a meadow under the blue sky. Or, imagine that you’re sleeping peacefully in a velvet hammock in a dark room. If visualization doesn’t work, say the words “Don’t think” repeatedly in your mind for 10 seconds. If other thoughts distract you, put them aside and bring your attention back to your visualization or recitation.
Practicing this technique for six weeks in a row is supposed to help you master it, so you can fall asleep in under two minutes.

My doc prescribed me hydroxyzine for anxiety/sleep and it seems to work for me.

As far as the water thing, i have a friend up in the midwest who sells that stuff. She swears by it, but keep in mind she is a saleswoman too. I don’t really know alot about it but i guess it’s worth a try. Good luck to ya. Insomnia sux.

My wife uses Delta 8 gummies with great success. She’s always had trouble but trust me, she sleeps like a rock with a gummy.

I have terrible sleep issues as well...sometimes lay there for 6 hours tossing and turning. THC gummies put me down hard and fast.

Get to the Doc and get a sleep study performed to ascertain the problem. From there let the pro's prescribe the treatment.

It’s no fun. I’ve been on Ambian before for many years till it stopped working, now on Lunesta. Tried Melatonin and just about all the OTC crud. Recently Tried Delta 8 which did absolutely nothing. Been on CPAP for many years and still wake up tired. Recent talk with my sleep DR disclosed the meds are probably working against the CPAP so I started trying to wean myself off the meds. Went from 3mg down to 2mg and will go to 1 mg next month. Seems to be helping. Good luck as sleep difficulties suck big time.
