My MIL is still alive and we hope for a lot longer. You could not ask for a better MIL than Margie I actually worked in the same office with her at one time and her daughter lived with me for some time before we were married. She never confronted me about it or gave me a hard time at all but yeah she was relieved when we made it official and have been married now for about 40 years. She still lives on her own in a house at Cedar Creek but we are thinking won’t be able to for too many years.
We love her but could never live under the same roof. She has 2 speeds super hyper and asleep she would drive us completely crazy plus our house is way too small anyway. She will have to go into some kind of assisted living when the time comes.
Truly an outstanding woman.

My MIL is pretty much the best. I feel for you guys who have bad ones.

My MIL was absolutely the best. Mother of eight.
My wife’s MIL could have actually been worse. Just a very unhappy person. I was the red headed step child of the family.

I got along with all 3 MILs but the first one was the best. RIP Phyllis.

Loved my Mother in law. She could be a pain at times but we all knew what to expect. She loved us, she loved the kids and the Lord. She set the example for the whole family.
I miss her but I’m looking forward to the reunion some day.

Lets see here....
There was the one that was so gentle she could pick up wild chickens and pet them. Then there was the one that was filthy rich. She was a straight up demon.
The third. Well she was a dirty bird, con artist, pill dealer, murderer, secret keeper, shoot you in your sleep...Mother in law.

Mine passed away 5 years ago. I got along great with her for nearly 37 years. FIL was an incredible man. I have nothing but good things to say about both.

Do you get along? I like mine well enough, but there are major problems between my wife and her. It's a very sad dynamic. Good thing they live in San Jose. I'm in the same boat. I like her just fine. My wife refuses to speak with her because of things that happened in her childhood. MIL lived with us for a couple of years but now my wife has nothing to do with her. It's truly sad and I'm afraid she will regret it someday.
