Had it happen in a company truck, F-150 back around 1999. The place I worked at had 40+ railroad crossings inside the fence, it would beat a vehicle to pieces. My wife has a Jeep Wrangler and I have felt a little bit of wobble one time but it has never repeated and wasn't bad. It may have been the rough road we were on.

I once had a 1986 model girlfriend that nearly beat me to death when I told her that undercarriage was getting too wobbly to be able to enjoy the ride.

Well, I spoke too soon about the wife's Jeep and the death wobble. We were on I-20 near Longview and hit a rough spot and away we went. I crawled up under it today and all 4 of the ball joint nuts were loose. It looks like when it was assembled at the factory, that they did the pre-torque and then backed the nuts off to get the cotter pin into the hole. I just finished removing the cotter pins and torquing the nuts to the correct spec and then what ever it took to get to the next castle to put the cotter pins back in. While I had the wheels off, I also checked the torque on the drag link and tie rod and they were all way under spec. They are all re-torqued to spec also. Took it for a test drive and it feels way more stable. I will head back to the bad section of road early next week to see if this fixed it.

Apparently you know nothing about steering. If a tie rod is broke the steering wheel, wonโt move the wheel,on the side that is broken
I fish on the edge and stay out of the middle

Was behind a guy in a high rise Chevy pickup on 20 last week. You could distinctly see all four tires if you were behind him. Dude was doing eighty miles an hour and trying to go faster. It actually looked like he was drifting from lane to lane as he was trying to pass people. Have no idea how he was able to drive that thing.

not in a Jeep. but have on a Kawaski KZ 1000. Had it happen on a 1975 H2 Kawasaki doing over 80 mph on I 35 in Oak Cliff. Grooved curve near Zang Blvd may have been part of the issue
