Man!!! these fish are flying into and over boats! Watching BASS Halftime, every hookset was followed by a flying bass 😆. That part of the Sabine has got them, just not like the upper part.

B.A.S.S. won't be going back there anytime soon. They have been there 4 times in the past few years. They will be back again. People there turn out and support them like few other places do. Plus the tournament facilities are very nice.

Snooze fest! Why would anyone want to watch 6 to 10lb limits? But tossing that yellow spinner bait gave all the olds a warm tingle down their legs.

Hopefully the oldz are enjoying this garbage tournament, otherwise no televised event needs to happen ever again on that rat fest river!

Hopefully the oldz are enjoying this garbage tournament, otherwise no televised event needs to happen ever again on that rat fest river! It is a competition among anglers dealing with all the same conditions. It is a test of the best in my opinion. Lots of water rushing down the river from a major reservoir (Toledo Bend), strong south winds preventing a lot of water from moving out. It's just bad timing from mother nature (big rains north of area) prior to event. The river is certainly not showing it's best due to these conditions. But even if things were perfect, the anglers are always dealing with the same conditions provided in any given tournament. There have been many 8-10 lb bass caught on this system over the years. Some of those big bass come from the northern sections of the river and some from Taylors or Big Hill south. But I'm speaking as a local who has fished this system since the 1970's and have had good and bad days. For those who are bored, just simply don't watch it.
