This is Really Weird. . . So, this is the second time I've been out with my new Livescope. Today started just fine. Lots of Crappie on brush piles, but they weren't wanting what I was throwing, but I digress. . .

I fished for 3 hours on different brush piles and everything was as normal. Point the LS at brush pile and watch my jig go down to the fish. I then went to another brush pile about 30mins away (remember I am in a kayak). When I got there, I pointed the LS at the brush pile, but I could not see my jig. I moved it all around. Kept trying with no success. Finally, I noticed my jig on the graph, but it was in the 4 feet of space behind the Boat/transducer. My scope was actually looking backwards. I will try to post a picture of it.


I moved to another spot and it was working correctly again, but when i went to the last few BPs, it was working backwards again. I rebooted the 106SV and the Livescope numerous times, but same thing.

Have y'all ever had this happen or hear of it happening?

In this picture, the Livescope is pointed out, and my jig is in front of the transducer, but you can see that my jig is behind the 0 feet line. This is CRAZY, I tell ya. I have no idea what's going on.

Ask questions for clarity, and i'll try to answer them. I know, this just doesn't make sense.

Do a restore factory default settings and you should be good to go.

Isn't there a reverse angle setting in the installation menu ??

Yeah, I rebooted but didn’t think about a factory reset. I’ll try that.

When I was out on the water, I tried finding a “reverse angle” or something similar, but couldn’t find one.

Is the bottom loose and spinning around?

Nope. I just went out and checked. It’s on there tight. And it is pointed in the correct direction, with the cord at the rear. Ugh! ! ! I wish it was that simple.

I need to get it back on the water and do the factory reset.

A reboot will not fix it, You can go in menu and find the Flipped icon hit it, Recalibrate you should be golden now

I’m going out on Wednesday, so hopefully I’ll report back with good news. Gonna go into setting and try looking at the “flipped” setting and recalibrate.

It always amazes me. When I used to use a PC, before I switched to Apple, I would shut down my machine, fired it up the next day and the Ghosts in the machine would have changed the setting and I’d have no idea how it happened or how to fix it.
