After 53 years, and 22 years fishing from kayaks, I’m buying my first power boat. I ordered new so it will be about 6 weeks.

A bit nervous but I’ve fished out of brothers boat for years. I’ll take him on the maiden voyage. Ha

What I got:
EXCEL Bay Pro 220 Elite in blue and white
Mercury 200 V8
Hydraulic Jack plate
2x12” Lowrance 12” HDS Pro
Power Pole Move PV 60” trolling motor

What I’ll get later:
Boat cover
2 10’ Power Poles
Bimini top
DIY EVA foam decking

Sounds like a sweet rig. I’ve been contemplating going back to a. Bay boat myself as I get older. So much easier to move around

Thank you for all the replies! I’ve got a lot to learn ( boating, the new FF, the new TM, maintenance…) so I’m on it. I’ll post pics when I take delivery too.

Switched from a Ranger bass boat to a CC 6 years ago. Bought a used 2200 Champion Bay also in blue and white. Will never go back. Curious to see pics of the Excel. I have never seen 1. Champion made 2 versions. 1 was sometimes referred to as a Sea Champ and had taller sides. Mine has a lower profile. With a 95 gallon tank and 2 fishing buddies that push 300lbs each I could use a hydraulic plate. [Linked Image]
