Robert and I got to the lake around 9 am. The parking lot was half full but that didn't discourage us from the chase. While fishing on the first spot, I noticed 5 boats in the area fishing for bass and they were catching them pretty steady. Another boat was setting out jug lines in addition to cast netting and fishing. We stayed in the area for a while until they moved on. From there we went to the dam where another angler was occupying the pointy rock spot, so we fished 2 spots nearby. We fished the community hole before closing out the day with another honey hole. Water temperature was in the high 70's to low 80's, winds started out fairly calm but later started gusting 15 to 20 mph. We ended up with 186 sunfish and 7 bass which were all caught on gulp alive chartreuse, emerald shiner, watermelon, stary night and cricket. Fish were all released.

Zane...Another great day..Fishings real good right now. In another month when the temp reaches 105 we will have the lake all to ourselves.

Steve - Your right about the summer months. I'm kind of missing the crappie action. May take a trip to Granger or Summerville before we hit those high temperatures.
