4 out of 5 Bunkeroids. Action packed drama with a lot of cold hard verbal hits to the loons regarding the importance of oil and gas. Billy Bob' character is great, although some hokey stuff like cutting off the end of his smashed finger and pulling a nail out that is buried in his leg. But it makes for some fast paced action. Lots of overly gratuitous T&A and over the top Bimbos. Nice to look at but the goofy shallowness overpowers the characters. The oilfield stuff is probably close to reality in some cases. Waiting for Season 2. That is all. Continue on with your bad selves.

We enjoyed the first few episodes immensely, but the featured gold digging bimbos were just too over-the-top annoying!
Rip-cord pulled.....

The Patch bar they film at is on 580 just west of 820. It's just a set, not a real place but pretty cool to see when they are filming

His wife and daughter take annoying to the next level. I’ve known a lot of landmen in my life and not one of them resemble Thornton’s character at all. All that being said, it is a very entertaining show and I look forward to a new season.

As a kid, I movie Backdraft made me want to be a fireman, Cocktail made me want to be a bartender, etc. This show probably would have made me want to be an oil field worker.

My old girlfriend who I am still super close with the family is basically Billy Bob's character in real life. Fly's a plane full of his best friends to March Madness and the Masters in Gulfstream Jets. Not sure if he's ever been dirty, and born into the job.

Damn near 50% of my customers are linemen, or oilfield related jobs. Definitely takes all kinds. The amount of them that are divorced is unreal.

I like the show but it not accurate on some of the actual oilfield stuff.

The original show where the guys got blown up when the ball valve blew out under supposedly 2000# pressure
That ball valve is good for about 600 # they would have had a tree on that much pressure with high pressure valves with big wheels turning the valve open and shut
Most landman just do land leases. The field Forman would do what he is doing in the show In most companies

But I bet the cartels are a handful down next to border for sure

Field Forman just doesn't have the same ring to it as Land Man.
My neighbors son in law is a land man, works from home on a laptop. On rare occasion has to go to county courthouse, never set foot in the oil patch.
