If you're using a palomar knot, then you really need to lube the line and learn how to flip the half hitch over the knot when tying. If you miss that half hitch loop over the top, it weakens the knot significantly.
Palomar knot is a great knot. It’s what I use on everything. The trick is to try not to let the line twist as you tie it…keep the line laying clean. And LOTS of spit. Keep it wet. The fish like the spit too.

Very important note on the Palomar...make sure you "flip" the circle you create when you get it back on top!! This circle is what clinches down on the rest of the knot. I made this mistake a few times when I first started using it and it will cost you. I think Jacob Wheeler put out a video not to long ago explaining this "circle flip"!! It is the most important part of the knot.
Also, when stretching (The tighter the line, the better!) out used fluoro, get yourself a shop rag or paper Towel and spray it with your favorite line conditioner (Not the entire towel....just an a small area). When stretched, run that sprayed towel down your line and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. The line will look as good as new and will perform even better because it is lubricated. You can repeat this 3-4-5 times (usually 12-18 month period for me). This has saved me tons of $$$ on fluoro and conditioner.
Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

I landed a 6, a 5, two 4’s, around ten 3’s and dozens of 2’s last Saturday on the same 10pound INVISX leader on 20lb braid. I retied once. Never lost a fish. I used the same wacky hook the whole day. Went through 7 packs of senkos on one hook.
I’d say you either have a bad batch, or can’t tie a knot. I even fell down in the boat on a 5 pounder chasing it to the back of the boat. The rod was bent over the gunnel and I was staring at the underside of the driver console….fish stayed hooked till I got back up. Haha.
Likely a bad batch, who knows. I use an Alberto knot. Like I said, I still have fluro at the other end after that ordeal. Knot was still intact

Well, if you're fishing fluro, you should use the san diego jam knot. Easy to tie, and better than the rest.

Palomar is the one and only knot needed for a direct knot to a hook. Sometimes a small loop knot on cranks to let em wiggle more. A snell sometimes on a straight shank. Alberto on a leader.
Learn those four knots to perfection and the knots are all anyone would ever need for bass fishing.

I’d skip the loop knot to make a crank wiggle more. Haha
