my wife has found a spot at our pier that she catches about a dozen shrimp when she tries. this weekend I caught a 19 inch gafftop that I am sure would challage the leader in the star tourny, if only I had reistered. we saw a large bull red break the surface right before the wind storm hit sat afternoon. I see alot of people on shoreacres blvd at the canel cast netting, have you ever tried there?

naw, i've never tried it over there...with my luck i'd end up getting my net snagged on the first cast!!!...i went this past sunday to sea breeze and nada!!...nothing but small gaftop although people kept telling me the bite was on saturday night at sylvan beach....the only excitement i saw that day (which was not good) was a kid falling off his bike by the pier and the rocks...all his family members were panicking and life flight had to be called...i hope he turned out ok....well tight lines to ya, bro

i went to sea breeze Sunday and caught one keeper drum....threw him back in since i'm not into keeping them anymore....i've gotten more into the "conservation" thing for the past 3 years....i very rarely keep any fish unless it's for my neighbor....well on the sad note i found out that that little boy was DOA when the paramedics got to the park....my dad and i have been going to the pier just about everyday and he found out from a friend of his that the kid wasn't breathing when the ambulance showed up....a real sad thing to hear since those people were having such a good day with their party....my heart goes out to them....well tight lines to you, man....we'll hook up one of these days and tear them hardheads up....peace

we throw back the little ones, we keep the keepers, have never been near a limit on any fish, but we do eat what we keep it is a rule with hunting and fishing. thats sad to hear about the kid, I believe everything happens for a reason, and when its your time, its your time. we might be out of town this weekend, whitch sux cause I want to fish, good weather bad weather half of the fun is just being out with my wife. well I got work to do, later

sea breeze is a park right down the road from sylvan beach....the only thing is that you have to be a la porte resident to fish on that pier....it's free and alot better than paying the money at sylvan beach pier since it's the same water....not to mention it's not crowded...just regulars....everyone knows everyone

we fished this weekend behind the house, took a friend with us, he caught a good sized sting ray on cut bait, had to be 2/3 feet wide, put up a great fight. I hooked onto a bull red, it wrapped around the pier just as we got the net to it my line broke. guess thats pier fishing.
