Back in the day, I had a couple of Corvettes that were “radio delete” models. Had all the sounds I enjoyed without a sound system.

Back in the day when I was into upgrading sound systems in truck I thought that adding a big amp and some 6x9 JBLs was the thing. I put the JBLs in boxes behind the seat with enough wire to set them outside the truck. We camped on beach at Island View at Texoma often. 1 time people on hill came down and said they could not hear TV over the music. They went home grabbed some beers and joined us.

If you want to test your system and see how hard your bass hits, you test with some DJ Magic Mike. Yes Sir! I had 4 15" subs in my '67 Galaxie 500 back in the day!

Meh,pssshh. I have Cerwin Vega full range. I can swap them out to other vintage CV's. I win. at 1/10 the cost. too bad Jim!
so few understand speaker efficiency and AMP POWER, LOLOLOLOOL.
fwiw there are 8 speakers. i could make make it better by replacing/ ditching two of them.

Neighbor is adding 12 more speakers to his ride. He's a Ford mechanic. He's let me experience the current system and it will rattle your teeth.
He does it right. Sound deadening all over the place. Not a single rattle in the entire car. The sound is concentrated inside the passenger compartment. It's not that loud outside the vehicle.
And Damn....the bass speakers he's running. You need ear muffs to sit in the car at the halfway mark on volume. He's serious about his audio. i did that without all the $$$ lol
