You can go to any classroom from grade 1 to university and ask 100 random students about May 5 and if two knows the actual history behind it, you will have discovered a pocket of intelligence. You wonโt find it. Ha.
Yes, they are ignorant, just like Americans, Africans, Asians, Europeans, and all the rest. Knowledge is not in high demand now a days.

Stinko De Mayo is a celebration where people consume excessive amounts of alcohol and engage in debauchery. The name "Stinko" refers to the foul odor that emanates from the drunken revelers who participate in this event. It is a derogatory term that implies that Mexicans are dirty and smelly.
