I don’t know how but the rod survived unscathed. A Shimano Conquest 905c MBR

I shipped several rods in a sch. 40 tube (4") with a screw cap once when going on a fishing trip. The screw cap was shattered when I got it at my destination.

Glad the rod made it.

Just like airline baggage handlers, sometimes I think a "fragile" sign is just a dare to postal workers.

At least you got it. Someone somewhere is enjoying a new $200 bow sight. But it ain't me.

You gotta laugh. Those heavy duty cardboard rod tubes are stout, takes some effort to break them.

This one sat there for 3 days. Looks like it was stuck in their conveyor the whole time. Yours was probably behind it

I shipped two Dobyns rods to VA last year in a pvc tube with foam inside at each end and caps bolted in place and taped via USPS. They bent the PVC and broke both rods.🤦‍♂️
I had paid for extra insurance. It took 3 months of submitting and resubmitting claim before they finally honored the insurance and paid off.
Won’t ever make that mistake again!
