I don't eat shrimp shells. Don't eat crab or crawfish shells either. I also draw the line at eating lobster shell also.

I shrimped for 10 years and ate shrimp 2-3 times a week every week but never ate shells (the tail is part of the shell). Now I'm not picky about deveining shrimp.


Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it !

I watched an oriental lady eat a pound of crawfish , she did not remove the shell from the tails.

Whenever I handle shell-on shrimp, I'm always getting my fingers stuck by that hard pointed horn of the tail.

I can't even imagine that passing through my digestive tract.

Fried, I do from time to time. They need to be crispy / well cooked.
