It’s the most heavily bet race by a long shot
Hard to handicap
3-yos are still colts
So many back stories
Just once, I’d like to see Asmussen win, he deserves it and has LSP roots

Huh? Where do you think the term “clean faces win races” comes from? Front runners on muddy tracks absolutely have an advantage because they don’t have to deal with muddy kickback

“ Clean faces win races” Huh? Cute sayings are rarely accurate, and ain’t a damn horse in Ky derby skeered of a muddy face!

I had American Promise, NEOECOUS? Coal Battle. First two were mudders, Coal Battle was more of an underdog. If I was picking just one it would have been American Promise but SOVEREIGNTY is just fine with me.

Got to love a horse that always has to come from behind, taking all that dirt and mud

Fastest horse don't always win the race. The first across the finish line is the winner! A lot goes on in the middle of the pack. I will give you any horse of your choice, I will take 18 Budweiser draft horses. You won't win!

LOL...i'd take that bet. Those draft horses will still be in the gate when a legit race horse is at the quarter pole! Agree, ya gotta be a little lucky to win any race with 19 horses in it, but Journalism the favorite had a good race and gave it a great shot. I had Baeza winning at 17 -1. Won a little as I bet win, place, and show. Another 20 yards and could have had 2nd, but dats how racing go.
