Also I will say that these muddy derby’s always favor the best horse. Rarely will you see one where a fast out of gate or strong finisher wins. Not saying it won’t happen or hasn’t, just usually the best horse slugs through. Huh? Where do you think the term “clean faces win races” comes from? Front runners on muddy tracks absolutely have an advantage because they don’t have to deal with muddy kickback

I went to the horse races once in Sallisaw Oklahoma, The Horse I bet on fell and broke his leg. .gif "angel")
