Did y'all sell everything, or hire a mover?

We did the same thing here when we moved, bare bones, no cooking utensils, lawn chairs and air mattresses. We brought the coffee pot in the car with us so we would have it the first morning in the new house

Sold a lot. Government either pays a company for my move or pays me to do it myself. I did a half/half. Mover took care of all my bulky/heavy stuff and I have the rest boxed up in my trailer

I’m about to make a coffee table out of some tree branches and 6 pack wrappers!

The next step would be to find a natural disaster and buy up the damaged property with a government check.

Been there, both moving out and moving in.

Most memorable was in 1969(?). moving to Miami, FL. The moving CO had stuff on two trucks and got there late.
Mom was able to cook dinner and we sat on moving boxes to eat.

But the house had a pool so us kids were pretty happy; it was Spring and we had just moved from Vermont where three days earlier it was low 40s.

I thought you broke free from the gov/mil. Does this explain the 22k of mystery cash that showed up, be careful that’s generally taxable.

I did. They give you 3 years after you retire to move wherever you want.
