Lake Worth will be closing tomorrow 5/3/25.

Kidding, I know it will, I spoke with the FTW Lake Worth Wardens today and they are already planning closures.

According to them: The nature area kayak zone is closed and they are closing what they call the beaches. Tomorrow, the lake will be closed as Bridgeport, Eagle Mountain, and Worth are spilling over and dams are open. Water is flowing quite heavily and debris is making it's way down river.

You heard it first, here. Please don't hate me.

Good chance. They are dumping Eagle hard in preparation of the water coming from Bridgeport.

Bridgeport is close to being over 380 in Runaway Bay. It's pretty crazy to see. Been a LONG time since we've had this much water out here. Fishing is gonna be off the charts the rest of the year though. Historically theese fish love it when the lake fills up. The summer bite should be insane.

If you are near these areas send pix. Dadgum, we are getting some rain. Would be nice to see all west Tx lakes full.

It is. They are releasing water so it doesn't flood when the water from Bridgeport gets there.

All the pastures between Bridgeport and Runaway Bay along 380 are underwater too. Lots of runoff still coming along with more rain. I'm not complaining one bit as we needed every drop of it.

Here are some pictures on Lake Bridgeport from just a little bit earlier earlier today. These are in Runaway Bay from US 380 right near One Stop and the bridge. The first picture is from the marina yesterday evening at Runaway Bay.
