Been having them for a while now. Fully autonomous trucks up and down I35. They stay in the right lane and are very rude about letting me over.

I work next door to a truck diving school. Trust me. The autonomous trucks are far safer. and speak better English.

all fine and dandy till a computer malfunction and someone gets killed. one more step in getting rid of labor.
We will see if it truly is a good thing. They tried cars and that has had problems. So you want to use a 80,000 truck instead

So you want to use a 80,000 truck instead They schedule them to drive in less congested times and mainly interstate hub to hub. It ain’t like they’re cruising school zones with the things. lol. Only people that will have wrecks with them are drunk drivers at 3am

How long will it take for some enterprising individual to invent a countermeasure. Getting the robot to stop (safety system)...
And boning the entire internet of things?
The hackable will get hacked. Usually by someone that's having a boring day.

Seen a couple of them on 35W as well. Cameras to cover every angle and blind spot around it with a human behind the wheel to take over in case of emergency. I can see where they might have a use, but they need to stay off the roads with humans. If big tech can afford to build autonomous 18 wheelers, they can build their own infrastructure and transit system, direct routes hub to hub. They will never take over the human mind though. If they are using strictly visual data, they will fail.
