A poly takes an hour and a half. His was only slightly longer. How do you get 4 failed polyies?
According to Matt, Zona started the rumor on 4 failed poly tests and Matt is questioning how Zona got that info. BASS has withheld the poly from everyone, including Matt.

Zona started a rumor? I think he is more calculated and way smarter than saying something false about the situation. Did u hear Matt say he was going to take legal action bc Zona revealed that and he thinks that is his personal info? Why would he take legal action for that if it was false information? That would be a defamation case not a personal info case.

For the record, I initially defended Scott Martin with what he claimed happened. Then the actual BASS rule was posted and there is no way to defend him after that; but I can read and understand how to comprehend certain things, such as the BassChamps sunglasses contest. Oh and I can understand how to order my fishing license online and not get DQ’d from a tournament, things that you seem to find quite challenging & difficult.

the basic concept and intent of the no information rule is that you don't solicit information from other fishermen....no one can avoid people volunteering information in a conversation.....in Matt's situation,he said he did not ask for information nor did he act on what was said to him....

For the thousandth time that has nothing to do with the actual rule.

O.K. does your interpetation mean that if an elite series fisherman hears anything regarding fishing in an upcoming tournament lake that he is disqualified from fishing the tournament?
does this mean every pro fisherman has to wear ear plugs for 30 days prior to a tournament?

You should connect the dots that he failed a poly! Plain simple and the result is a dq! Not kicked out of BASS. That was 100% his choice to leave.
Yes I talked to him right after at the NPFL. I feel bad for Matt but I do not agree with his arguments on this. I have known him for 25 years but I hate the way he reacted to this and where its going now! I have and do fish at the national level and in my opinion. There is NO GRAY area!
The deal is if Matt calls the tournament director and says in a conversation something was said but I am not going to use it or act on it and doesn't. His conscience woulda been cleared and he would have passed like he did in the end after he admitted to the second conversation.
