Why is the Home Depot on FM1488 the only store I know of that doesn't have any amigos looking for work hanging out in the parking lot?

I am not trying to be racist. I actually need to some dudes to work in my yard.

I don't recall seeing them at the Shenandoah store either. But that may be because Shenandoah PD spends so much time there busting shoplifters that the amigos are spooked off.........

They are at the 7 11 in Lville, not sure if the Home Depot is a pickup spot.
I think Denton is the train station, but it has been many years. That may have changed.

The city of Denton was the very first city to embrace the migrant worker and actually built them a nice pagoda with benches, a roof, and some water fountains. The structure is still there, and occupied, to this day.

That was in the late 90s. Very progressive, that Denton town.

The illegals from the 1990โ€™s are a far cry from the illegals of 2025. It has gone downhill fast.

Cooper Street in โ€œThe Aggโ€ between Arbrook and Mayfield. You can find whatever you need for sheep.

I've never noticed them at Home Depot but then, I don't ever look for them.

I have found out that there are generally some day laborers hanging out a gas station west of Magnolia.

BTW - I never said a single derogatory thing about these people. It is a fact that they gather at some Home Depots.

There are always a few hanging around in the vicinity of the post office on Main St Midlothian. Over 10 years ago a neighbor friend hired a few for work around his property and they would not even consider his offer at 15$ an hour. Ended up paying 17$ an hour. I wonder what the going rate is today. Guessing around 20$ ?
