Which brings me back to my original point. Why can’t we hear it out of the horses mouth? Let’s hear a HC or GM say, “we didn’t pick him because he’s arrogant and he didn’t interview well”. They are on record saying they’re impressed with his on the field talent. He’s regarded as one of if not thee most accurate passer in the draft.

Instead a “trusted source” leaks the supposed truth. We all seek truth and transparency from the media. I certainly don’t trust the “trusted source”

For the same reason no one will discuss publically why they didn't pick any guy in the draft... It's bad PR... In 3 or 4 years they may try to sign the guy as an unrestricted free agent... Why burn any bridges you don't have too???... The Browns GM blew smoke for a month how great, a generational talent, the next bestest player, sure fire HOF'er Hunter was gonna be... But when the time came to draft him they traded their pick away???... Why???... Because it was a smoke screen so the Clowns could turn Hunter into additional draft choices... Plain and simple... They praised Hunter, blew smoke up his skirt, made him feel like Superman... Then traded him... Now, if Hunter ever becomes a free agent they didn't alienate him or his posse... They can always say you were so great we switched first rounders, got and additional 2nd rounder and a 1st rounder in the next years draft... We're better because of you, now come play for us... Another example... Houston trades Deshaun Watson to the Clowns... They didn't berate him as a possible rapist, call him the lowest form of human life... They thanked him for his play on the field... this question reminds me of the movie the Rookie about a major league pitcher, name Jimmy Morris who did end up playing in the MAjors for a couple years. He made a deal with his high school baseball team if they won state he would go to a major league tryout.
He did go and pitch, the scott came out after words and ask how fast he pitch 15 years earlier at his last tryout. Jimmy said 85 MPH, the scout then said you just through 98 MPH.
The scout went on to say if I call the home office and say he has a guy tryout twice these kids age he would get laugh at, he said if he doesn't call in a 98MPH fastball he will get fired.

So to answer your question about white guys playing in the NFL has CB's is same answer they don't throw a 98 MPH fastball. Scouts are paid to find talent and they do the best players not the color of their skin. no one cares what color white guys are who play CB or if a black man who is Deion son is black. They only care about talent period.

Some are just better talents period and it been that way for a long time. I only know of one point of racism in the NFL where they try and make the owners hire minorities regardless of their talent in coaching. I am not against the rooney rule but don't say its whole purpose is not racism control.

great movie for sure . He spoke at my sons high school . As a person that successfully coached youth baseball for 11 years ( 9 players with college scholarships ) --- I can tell you that scouts in baseball look at three things --- how hard you throw , how many homers you can hit , how big you are . The Dodgers passed on Pedro Martinez because he wasn't tall enough --- they only looked at guys 6'2" or bigger as pitchers .
There is a TON of nepotism in baseball and every org really only pushes up guys drafted in the top 5-7 rounds ----unless you do something amazing in the minors .
Look up the history of a kid named Daniel Nava --Boston Red Sox . I can tell you all the way back to his high school and college days

I was watching clips from the fictional draft day movie w/kevin Costner. Shadeur is a literal bo Callahan. Maybe a little less talented, but the same teammate.

my HS girlfriends brother played minor league for the yankees. He was 6' 7" and could really bring the heat. through his arm out after two seasons.

Most minor league BB players are there to give the few that will make it to the majors someone to play with.
