Better to save them then have them DIE in your ditch. But that's a smelly subject. LOL.

Link 1: I'm not sure of the current OK carp populations, but I don't know if this is where I'd be focusing my attention during a flood. Link 2: I would not be giving any credibility to a website that does not list the author's name or cite any published studies. Just my

Buddy of mine that raised hogs said that the hogs love eating them. Back in the mid-70's there was a spot on Tawakoni that would have 100's of stranded carp whenever we got a good rain. We would go scoop them up with landing nets and my neighbor would feed his hogs with them. He also had a agreement with our local elementary school and take all the food scraps for the day and feed the hogs with them.

What's so bad about helping some of God's creatures? Nothing bad at all! A good deed for sure.

Another use for a dead carp is garden fertilizer. When we were kids we'd ride our bikes to a local country owned lake and carp fish... We'd keep a couple on a stringer so when we left we'd ride by the old folk dragging the carp. Someone would always ask what we were gonna do with them and we'd say Dad used them as fertilizer for the garden... We'd almost always get a buck from someone so we could buy a soft drink on the way home... Dan

Anyone ever take a 12ga, 3" buckshot, and cull them? Culling them at the choke point in a creek?
Learning ballistics, that's it the shock wave that gets them. Not actually getting punctured. Getting hydro shocked. Their bell getting rang. Feeding God's other creatures like the raccoons along the bank. Opossum too. Making them fat little critters.
Because nothing goes to waste.
