Was at my local Academy stocking up on some Panfish Tackle for the sunfish. I noticed plenty of jars of the Berkley Power Bait that are the most sought after during the trout stocking season. $5.99 a jar. This was the first time in about a year that I have seen the trout power bait at Academy. They are usually SOLD OUT, especially during the stocking season. Needless to say I also stocked up.


Side Note: Did not see any Super Dupers. The only place that I have seen them on a regular basis is at Bass Pro Shops.

Saw that at my local Academy earlier last week. I had already stocked up for next stocking season by buying several jars at Dicks Sporting Goods in New Braunfels last month. I also did not see much fishing tackle for sale. I paid $5.79 a jar. At that time they had plenty for sale at Dicks. They have scaled back a lot on their fishing tackle.


Side Note: I have seen several news articles that Dicks sales have dropped a lot since Covid and that they were expecting a tough 2025.
