I have a 9 Live and a 9 Carbon. I am understanding they can share the 3 n 1 through the Ethernet (yellow). I also have a couple of gen 3 9's I wwould like to use for 2D and mapping.

Can I connect them all together via Ethernet, or do I need to separate the gen 3's to use older style transducers?

Checking my options before I start the installs.

Thanks for any advice and help!

Eric

I would not recommend HDS Gen3, unless you want to use for mapping and network depth. The gen 3 puts all the newer units into Legacy mode so your newer transducers will not work. You cannot share AI3-1 on Gen 3 you can share the skimmer and shoot thru pods like PD-wbl and HST-WBL It is a real hassle to get Gen 3 to play nice with newer HDS. The AI3-1 will never work for SI and DS on Gen 3. If you have questions feel free to PM or call me .
