Sounds like its really spreading. As far as i know ive never had it. My wife had it very young. Is the original vaccine still good?

Yes, for most people, the original measles vaccine still provides lifelong protection. People who received two doses of the MMR vaccine as children are considered fully vaccinated and do not need booster shots. However, there are exceptions, particularly for those vaccinated before 1968, who may need to check their vaccination history to determine if they need another dose.

When I was a kid mom made me go play with a kid down the street who had measles so I would get it over with.

Measles was considered eradicated in America. I know the story is that people don't vaccinate their kids, but if we didn't have measles in this country how would people become infected whether they were vaccinated or not?
Every narrative other than politicians actively importing millions and millions of illegals from slum countries must be pushed.

I have two older sisters, when one of u got sick my mom would make sure we ALL caught it then, measles as well.

I am 81. I remember going to a house that had a sign on the door saying 'quarantine ' , do not enter. I remember asking if we were allowed to go in there but I don't remember the answer. We went in!

There is measles (Rubeola virus) and German measles (Rubella virus)
One dose of MMR vaccine is 93% effective
Two doses are 97% effective
So, if you are basing your immunity from what your parents told you; I’d make sure you had both types of measles if not vaccinated.
Antibody blood tests could confirm.
