Current Garmin graph limits routes to 50 and I’m tired of having to reload routes for different lakes I fish.
Looking for recommendations for mapping only. No need for a transducer. no need for communication between graphs….i just need power and good gps and mapping capabilities.

I’d go with a Gen 3 Lowrance. Cheap and great for mapping.

Garmin. I’ve used the other two and much prefer the Garmin charts

LOWRANCE. Mapping is dependent on the lake. One's mapping is better on this lake and another's mapping is better on that lake. I've seen no mapping alone which will accurately provide navigation to prevent running over a stump or other hazard. For that one can use Lance Vick's Boatlanes or Tom Mayne's Guidelanes. PRO versions have hazard waypoints and colored trails indicate portions needing more caution or idling. Lowrance PRO and HB PRO versions are much better. Garmin is greatly lacking due to Garmin limitations. Lowrance has far greater trail efficiency and capabilities than HB. Lowrance and HB support track-segmentation which allows numerous related tracks to be merged into one track. Road segments into a Roads track, Creek segments into a Creek track, etc. Garmin does not and is limited to 50 track maximum. Garmin and HB maximum number of tracks is 50. Lowrance documentation states maximum is also 50, but I've had over 300 individual tracks on my Lowrance HDS (Please no one tell Lowrance so they don't "fix" it). IMO, Lowrance has better Waypoint and Trail management on the unit than anyone. Partner that with Reefmaster Waypoint Management for Lowrance software on a home PC and the combination is untouchable by HB or Garmin. HB has HumminbirdPC software which is for Helix or older units only. Garmin has unsupported Homeport software. HumminbirdPC and Homeport probably haven't had meaningful updates for a decade. Both are probably dead software. Lowrance for years has allowed you to mirror your Android or iPhone via HDMI port for viewing football, etc. But more important allows mirroring Google Earth from your phone. Mobile phones can now view historical Google Earth which can be mirrored. But best is a high-definition Google Earth Historical AT5 Aerial map of a lake. Running at 45.4mph and only Lowrance.

Lowrance….most compatible with third party mapping software/trails/boat lanes/etc…….and easiest to transfer data/waypoints/routes back and forth from Google Earth Pro and similar.

lowrance for the faster response. Humminbird for the lakemaster with aerial overlay.... I use both at the console. helix 15, and hds 9. Helix saved my bacon on Lake of the Pines while fishing way up north. Was able to see the ditches to get around the flats, and drive the river channel to go wayyyyy up the north end

I found a Lowrance Elite Ti2 12” for $300.
Came with a Navionics chip….will have to check the version.
Then I will see about converting my boat lane data.

Lowrance. It's the easiest to use if your new to the newer units. The main icon page is easy to see and goose what you want and the screen responds to touch very effectively.
When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip! #Brockstarama

Then I will see about converting my boat lane data. I've had that exact unit since they came out and it's still running strong and won't replace it till it explodes or my arms fall off
