Convince me that Shemar Stewart was worthy of the 17th pick in the first round by the Cincinnati BenGals... And please don't say potential... They already two potential game changing edge rushers... Dan

He was in the top twenty of most mock drafts I saw….people who study this sort of thing for a living know better than most of us.

From the few games I saw them play he definitely has a mean streak in him. Drew a few personal fouls for unnecessary roughness.

I am far from an expert but, I don't know if he is worth that high but he is a beast. The metrics are very strong but the results last year were not stellar.
You would really have to see how many times he was doubled to see the contribution he makes on a team basis. If he is doubled consistently, that would free up others on the line. Expectations of him were much higher than the results (in my limited knowledge of football).
