Rip angel

Keep looking forward. That’s why windshields are larger than rear view mirrors.

This was terrible news this morning.
I had the privilege of calling Charlie Williams my close friend for more than 20 years.
Hell he's the one that got me into tuna fishing. We worked side by side for a while
at my hot rod shop and his sheet metal fab abilities were beyond great.
He played harmonica, and was pretty damn good at that too..
I've been told he could catch a bass or two as well......

Tight lines and following seas, my dear friend. you will be missed for a long time.

Terrible news indeed. Bazz was a great man, and we shared many great times. I'm very sad to read this about Charlie. May he rest in peace.

Very sad news. Hate to read this.
About 10 years ago I invited anyone in the OT to fish a tournament on Lewisville. Charlie stepped up and we had a good time. For the next 5 years, we fished nearly every Friday workingman's on Lewisville including a couple of the OT tournaments. Charlie caught the largest bass ever caught out of my old boat. I had not talked to him this season, and had no idea he was in bad shape.
RIP Charlie you will be missed.

I sent a link of this thread to Charlie’s wife and she asked me to thank you all.

I joined in or around 2006. Charlie was the very first member that reached out to me that I actually met in person. He was incredibly nice and cordial. I met him a several times over the years at different events and for different things.

May BAZZTEX RIP!

I had the great fortune to be one of his shipmates on numerous offshore tuna trips. He was always on the fall trip that several TFFers make.. 60 hours on the Scat Cat out of Port A.
We have a trophy that is given to a person each year, voted on by the fishermen. One of those friends, Joe Livingston, died in 2015 in a private airplane crash. I was just told the trophy is going to include Charlie. The Joe Livingston - Charlie Williams Memorial trophy.

I regret not going on this as Charlie asked me a few years in row to come out. Charlie was always talking about this trip. He really enjoyed it.
