 Crappies Fishing Near San Antonio

I live in San Antonio and I'm looking for a guide on Coleto Creek or Victoria TX. Basically, I'm trying to find a place near San Antonio, TX to catch Crappies. I normally travel to Walter E. Long or Decker Lake, but it is closed. Have not had much luck at LBJ, Canyon Lake and Choke Canyon. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Lake Dunlap in New Braunfels prior to it's dam break was a great crappie lake. I am sure they will make a come back. The dam has been repaired and the lake is back to full level. Most of the docks have been rebuilt and the lake looks great. The bad news is from now till mid September the recreational boat traffic will be very heavy starting around 10am till dark. Best time to fish Dunlap is during the late fall, winter, and early spring. Just my  Side Note: Granger Lake in Williamson County is also a nice crappie lake.

Falcon Lake has huge crappie
