Yesterday (4/22/25) I had Paul and his wife out on Navarro Mills and I haven’t been here in 4 years and they wanted to go there so we went. Not going to lie, I was nervous the whole drive over not knowing where they were going to be but after looking at 2 spots we landed on them big time. They were tucked down right on the bottom in 10-13’ on a ledge coming out of a spawning creek. They caught their 50 fish in less than 2 hours. To say I was surprised we caught 50 was a shock to me but I’m glad it worked out that way. We used 6th Sinse Tinsel jigs and they would hardly touch a 1/16 but would hammer a 1/8.

I’ve got scattered afternoon availability in May and it should be really easy pickings, I’ll be on Cedar Creek, Richland Chambers and Palestine from here on out. Thank y’all!

I miss fishing NM. To far a drive now, and East Texas has so many lakes for me to fish, I can't justify the drive.

My pb came from Navarro mills ages ago . Top right fish is 10”. Fish next to biggest is 15”. Batteries on my scale were bad . Elmo in little store was not open . So it got cleaneed and eaten Big fish was 17 1/2”. Long
