Breakfast: Brother Juniper's

There are a lot of BBQ joints there and most are way overated IMO. I found one that is really good: The Bar-B-Q Shop

Went there on business about 20 years ago. Owner of firm I was visiting took me to dinner at Folk's Folly. Best steak I ever had.

Charlie Vergos Rendezvous for ribs, it's one of the well known somewhat overrated ones as PGR stated.

The 1st time we went there I thought the ribs were pretty good, but the 2nd time not so much. They are not smoked but grilled over a hot flame with a really heavy rub. I'm thinking they may be par-boiled to start. The first time they were meaty and the second time again not so much (this is a frequent comment in reviews)

TX does the BBQ, you might as well try to find a clean Applebees, where a solid par of shoes, you’ll have to walk from the parking lot and they reserve the few spots out front for the handicap and carry out orders.

Folks Folly for a great steak. Dyers on Beale for a good greasy burger. Gus’s Famous Fried chicken. I would avoid the Rendevous and go to Central BBQ or Germantown Commisary.

Riley and I always enjoyed Central BBQ. Everytime we have been you had a lot of the local FD and PD eating there. That usually is a good indication that the food is good.

They call it Memfrica for a reason. Last time I was there, I was at one of the popular BBQ joint and something serious was going on across the road, maybe 15-20 squad cars all over the place. Lots of light, and it wasn’t Christmas.
