Does the 998 have a Night Mode? If so how do I turn it off ?

I was afraid that would be the case, could you suggest a good unit? We are not interested in fancy, we don't care about side imagining, mainly want GPS and something that can be viewed in sunlight. and would sometime need a depth reading.Something we could use to follow creeks and rivers
