I was asked about removing the front graphs of you had FFS on the boat. I will allow you to fish as long as the front graph or graphs is removed and left at your home.

Probably just easier to take the live sonar transducer off the TM and put it in the day box.

I don’t think mapping and 2d sonar is gonna be the deciding factor.

I'm pretty sure they are saying remove the graph because they have two up front.

No dog in this but taking ducer off is more pain in the arse than it’s worth to fish a dinky tournament. Good luck.

Yes this is never going to work, I don't mind fishing without my ffs ( and believe me I'm not good at it ) but I'm not taking it off to fish a open , but I wish you the best.

Same... Just turn it off, and use the honor system. Do more polygraphs. Folks are going to cheat no matter what if they want to. 99% of the folks will turn it off and not use it. Removing a graph doesn't solve this. Just move one from the console up to the front if you want to cheat.

Yea, wouldn't fish if I had to uninstall transducer. Not worth it

That's the right call.cheaters will cheat, so make them unwelcome! I'm not any more conpetitive with it than I was without it. I have got to get better at figuring it out, or move on and fish my go-tos donating to better anglers (not just FFS).

Same thing I was thinking about replacing with one from the console.

Yeah, removing the transducer is a pain if you have a unit that uses a black box. No way would I do that for something like this. My set up has a dedicated Garmin for FFS and everything else is Bird so technically removing the Garmin graph would work In my case. May not be everyone’s case though. Someone could slip their console graph up as mentioned if it matches their FFS unit.

Considering it costs around $400 to have the stuff installed by a professional, it would cost around twice that to uninstall/reinstall.

What does last place pay? roflmao

I have four Lowrance 12 lives. They are all networked. I don’t think removing a graph is gonna help. I think taking the transducer and zip tying it up, out of the water with a TD zip tie of his choice would be good enough. If the TD chose a pink zip tie, I doubt it would be easy to find one on the water to make it look like the thing was still zip tied up at weigh in.

There is a better way to do this.

Moving the transducer to a non USABLE location would not cost anything. And it would be fast. Check live wells, pull the knob off the mount and zip tie that sucker aiming up on the shaft…then let em roll. They get their transducer mount knob back at weigh in.
