I remember sitting out on a point like that on Grand lake about 10 years ago. They had some national poker run being held on the lake, offshore race boats, chase helicopters overhead. Lake patrol stopped by and told us that we should move as they’d be round the corner in about 15 minutes- we were catching them real good and decided to stay. Probably wasn’t smart as 40footers were splitting us on both sides at 90mph, but we had as much right to be there as they did..if I had it to do over I would’ve moved…

I'm sure the people in the boat that survived will be able to answer that, considering they were in same basic area when they got hit I'd say they were not moving much

I noticed on one of the videos posted here from the guys GoPro that he mentioned that the striper boat was "inside the buoys". He did not elaborate on what kind of buoys these were. Were they no wake buoys?? If so the guy that hit them can rot in ****! That is one of my biggest pet peeves is guys blowing through no wake zones.

Yes, but only one died inside the boat. The two other fatalities were drownings outside the boat. I would assume it was a gruesome scene inside that boat.

I have seen a lot of dead people from traumatic injuries, some are gross and some are just dead with very little visible trauma.

I'm sure they are gonna have to investigate, talk to witnesses etc, possibly with it being easter prosecutor could be on vacation. From the looks of things I'm not sure how he could not be at fault.

Not sure if this is pick of smith lake boat as this story shows same boat at the Norman lake crash in North Carolina. I’m betting this is the boat from Norman.

Then this story of smith lake crash both boats look the same but 2 different videos from both lakes. Guess both could use same pic of boat. Who knows. There are multiple videos about both wrecks.
