Go back to the max 150hp BASS had in the mid 90s. I ran 2 boats during that time one for BASS and 200HP for Redman series.

So go back to small boats as well? Because modern boats are big and heavy compared to the ones of the 90’s.

You think 150 hp can’t kill someone if the driver isn’t paying attention?

My 18,8” skeeter with a 150 is almost as fast as my 20’11”’ranger with a 250.

If you restrict a skeeter to 40….it will propose all the way down the lake. roflmao

Clearly we would all be safer if every lake was idle only for everyone. Or we can accept that this was a terrible accident and all try to be more careful.

But it would cut down on the slapping noise and possibly all the stress cracks

I think y’all need to look up the definition of accident.

I've seen some. The video I've seen shows no fog and conditions were good as far as visibility. The striper boat is clearly visible off the point prior to accident.

Based on the video, I wouldn't even say the boat "was in a bad spot". Go to any metroplex lake on a summer weekend and boats are everywhere flying past eachother.

Looking at the video it appears full on driver negligence was the culprit. What the hell was he doing where he didn’t see that boat?
