I'm looking to sell a 2009 Ranger z520. Powerhead is blown and I can't afford to fix it. The boat has old electronics and only a Fortrex trolling motor. It's pretty dinged up from being in the trenches. Hydraulic jack plate, keel guard, trolling motor lock down, new batteries and new trailer tires. This is a real Ranger...pre Johnny S'mores. Anyway, just looking for outside opinions. This boat would make a great project for someone with time and access to an engine. I was thinking of listing at $13k obo. At that price a guy could put together a killer rig under $25k

From the sounds of your description low teens would be upper end.

What brand outboard?
I’d pat more for merc than evinrude and wouldn’t put any worth in an hpdi as they’re least desirable of those years

You’d almost be better off putting a used motor on it and selling it

I know thought it was funny the way the original description was worded. A real Ranger - implying they were built better back then or something. All the newer boats are built better regardless of brand
