I want to talk with someone who is using a lithium battery with an older mercury. I have a 2013 Mercury ProXS and would like to switch over to lithium because of the longevity. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2006 Mercury Four Stroke EFI. Been using Lithium for 7-8 yrs on it.

Been running an Ionic 125 on my 2005 ProXs 225. Had to replace the alternator once, but I don’t know if it was because of the lithium or if it was because the motor was 19 years old.

will the lithium battery charge correctly when on an older engine with a 35 amp alternator?
