Always good to be skeptical, especially with health related things. DMSO is labeled as a solvent. I just know it works for me.

It’s labeled as a solvent because it is a solvent. Commonly used in labs across the country. It’ll dissolve things that no other solvent will.

Your skin is a direct gateway into your bloodstream. Most people see it as a barrier, but anything that is just wrong.

You should always be very careful of what products you put on your skin. From lotions, sunscreens, to overspray of yard chemicals... all that stuff ends up passing through the skin.

I have been using DMSO since Jr high. Works great for joints and soreness. I don't get the garlic taste but more of a metal taste

Mom used it for arthritis. I used it at the gym. Works wonders for your knees. It'll cure a neck crick. It's supposed to be the strongest anti-inflammatory known.

Funny how the old becomes the new again. Tractor Supply sells it. Liquid or gel.

My GM used it in the 1970's before her bilateral knee replacements.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it !

yes

Thanks for the reply Butch. How do you go about applying it? He's a lab and shedding badly right now. Do you have to get to the skin, or will it absorb through the coat?

Pour some in your hand and rub into the dogs hip if it liquid. Same application for cream.

Apply a topical analgesic to the affected muscle or joint area. This usually provides minimal relief. Apply DMSO over the analgesic. This will penetrate deeply in joints and muscle tissue. DMSO by itself provides very little relief.
