It's been hitting the headlines. It'll cure this or that. It's a byproduct of making paper. Used on horses to keep them from going lame.

Mom used it for arthritis. I used it at the gym. Works wonders for your knees. It'll cure a neck crick. It's supposed to be the strongest anti-inflammatory known.

Funny how the old becomes the new again. Tractor Supply sells it. Liquid or gel.

Last bottle I got. A veterinary doctor gave it to me. She bought it by the bucket. Poured some in a bottle for me.

I'm surprised more people don't know about it.

Don't let it scare you. Try not to apply it on the soft area behind your knee or it can burn a little bit. On front of the knee, it won't burn. So don't put it in your arm pit. Outside of the shoulder.

The freaky part is how fast it goes through your skin and through out your entire body. Once applied, you'll taste it in your mouth within 3-5 seconds. Some folks describe the taste as reminding them of almonds.

Dimethyl Sulfoxide. An iron pumping buddy of mine used it in the 80’s, and he used it a lot. He said it made his breath smell like garlic, but also said it helped sore muscles. It is transdermal, and I always wondered if that could cause problems.

Absorbine SR. Been around for years. I have seen it for sale on street corners from guys in a white van.

Guys used it in college during the season... I seems to remember them saying it left a garlic after taste... Dan

Your skin needs to be clean or DMSO will take it with it. So don't apply DMSO right after cleaning car parts in gasoline.

Apply it after a shower or clean the area where you're applying it.

Do not mix anything in DMSO. Use the pure liquid by itself... Or the gel.

Some of you might want to tap the brakes a bit on any magic lotions or creams-
I have found most things don’t really work as advertised-

Just saying-

What has happed to you does not define who you are-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

DMSO is like nothing else. I guess some older vet was slobbing it on a lame horse. Seeing the animal recover. Getting it on his hands.

Figuring it out as nothing but bada$$ for anything inflammatory.
